Il n’y a, curieusement, qu’une seule des 18 sonates pour piano de Mozart (et un seul des 23 concertos pour piano) dans la tonalité pourtant si gratifiante au piano de Sol majeur, en l’occurrence la Sonate K. 283. Elle fait partie des six sonates pour piano probablement composées au début de l’année 1775 à Munich (K. 279–284) et elle est aussi, tant auprès des enseignants que des élèves, l’une des plus appréciées de ce premier groupe de sonates. Exécutée dans un tempo juste, cette sonate, sans grande difficulté technique, manque rarement son effet. Cela vaut avant tout pour son très étendu presto (!) final.
